A death investigation has been launched after the body of Elmer Camacho-Aguilar was found in the 800 block of University Boulevard East in Silver Spring on Saturday, June 10, officials announced.
Officers responded at approximately 12:40 a.m. on Saturday night to a reported assault, where they found Camacho-Aguilar suffering from an traumatic injuries.
He was taken to an area hospital, where he later died, police say.
His body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Washington, DC to conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause and manner of his death.
No information about a possible shooter or motive has been released by investigators.
Camacho-Aguilar’s death remains under investigation.
